a hoodie is what i'm wearing when the phone is in my hand.
not always. but often enough that the math works. early morning coffee. grocery store at 9pm. driving zola home from grandma's. the hoodie is on, the phone is in my hand, and the gap between the two is one inch.
the word PRESENT sits on the left chest. that's where my eyes land when i look down at the phone. raised 3D puff embroidery so my fingers know where it is without looking. heavy fabric so the body remembers it's on. there's a hidden pocket inside, behind the kangaroo pocket, low on the body. that's where the phone goes when i really need to work.
a tattoo: one-time. the body adapts. a tee: summer only. i don't wear them when i'm working. a watch is already a screen, and another screen is the wrong direction. an app is the problem.
a hoodie is the thing i'm already wearing during the moments autopilot picks me up. the cue has to be where i am, before i remember to look for it.
